Assistant County Attorney Cottonwood County is currently accepting applications for the position of a full-time Assistant County Attorney. Job duties include all the duties of office as spelled out in Minn. Stat. 388.051 and elsewhere. Specific responsibilities will be determined based on the candidate's own strengths and desires. Cottonwood Courts continue to utilize hybrid court appearances and some remote work may be available. Minimum requirements for this position include a Juris Doctorate and a Minnesota State Bar license. 2024 salary range for the Assistant County Attorney position is $74,672-$98,571.20 annually. County benefits include 8 hours of sick leave/month, accrued vacation, 16 hours of personal leave, 11 paid holidays, health insurance, $20,000 life insurance policy, Public Employee Retirement (PERA), $60/month cell phone allowance and a monthly VEBA/HSA contribution. Elective benefits include dental, vision, long-term disability, short-term disability, hospital, accident and critical care coverage. The county also offers medical/dependent care flex as well as three deferred compensation plans that are available if you choose. This position is eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
