HIM Lead Windom Area Health is looking for a candidate to take on the Lead role in the HIM area. Specific areas of responsibility include supporting medical staff recordkeeping, performing data analysis and chart review, reporting various hospital statistics, assisting in privacy concerns, and coordinating processes within the HIM department. The Lead will also perform coding a portion of the time. Work directly with HIM staff on technical questions, day-to-day work duties, and routine scheduling issues. Point person on technical questions related to the HIM area for the hospital. Work closely with the Revenue Cycle Director on process/flow improvement, implementation of new regulations/ processes, and participates in the hiring and evaluation processes. A minimum of 2 years experience in patient coding, Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required.
