She is dedicated to helping Fairland's clients achieve their goals and objectives for their farm real estate, specializing in accounting, tax management, and estate planning. TEAM focus We have a long history in Southwestern Minnesota (SWMN) and work with great people throughout the re- gion. Many of our clients' families have been involved with farmland in Southwestern Minnesota for generations. Being able to help carry on family legacies/ traditions for these families is very rewarding. Fairland is very proud of the relationships we have with our farm operators and business associates throughout the region. We work with some of the best, most pro- ductive farmers in the world. We appreciate the seed salespeople, agronomists, lenders, attorneys, USDA/Soil and Water districts, tile contractors, and so many oth- ers throughout the area that help us offer the in-depth services that Fairland provides. Business Owners: Thompson Family How long have you been in business: 100 years (Thompson Lands: 1922-1964 & Fairland Mgmt Co: 1964 to Present) What are some examples of how you collaborate as a team? There are many variables in coordinating crop produc tion. Our farm managers work with farm operators and vendors to select seed, herbicide, and fertilizer. The accounting department processes payments and tracks expenses for income tax purposes. Grain is grown and then sold by farm managers, with sale proceeds deposited by accountants for next year's expenses/distributions to clients. Rents are negotiated by farm managers and pro- cessed/distributed to clients by accountants. Our support staff helps keep all of this information flowing both in and out of the office. Fairland is also very proud of our past and current employees. Some of our previous employees spent most of their careers at Fairland and many others made significant contributions to the company over the years. Fairland currently has an excellent team of employees who have a variety of analytical, communication, and computer skills to meet today's challenges and will lead us into the future!
