Each household is allowed curbside pickup of 10 LARGE HOUSEHOLD GOODS OR FURNITURE Place items at the curb by 6:00 a.m., Saturday, May 18th. DO NOT place items in alley! Only 10 items will be picked up. If more than 10 items are placed on the curb the property owner will be responsible for proper disposal of the remaining items. Items with glass/mirror ARE NOT ALLOWED. All glass/mirror items can be taken to the drop off site. DO NOT PLACE appliances or electronics on the curb. Recycle these items during Cotton- wood County's recycling events. No items in garbage bags! -DROP OFF- ADDITIONAL SMALL ACCEPTABLE ITEMS- Can be dropped off at Cottonwood Lake (Tegels Park) dumpster location 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All items brought to the site must be in an open box and visible for inspection no bags will be allowed. Proof of City of Windom residency (drivers license or utility bill) will be required to drop off items. UNACCEPTABLE materials for pickup or drop off include - Appliances Electronics Household garbage Hazardous waste *Building materials Lead acid batteries Liquid waste Paints Fluorescent tubes Used oil Auto bodies Tires Concrete -MATTRESSES- RECYCLING- MATTRESS Thursday & Friday, May 16th & 17th for mattress or box spring If you have either of these for pickup during the cleanup event, you must purchase a tag from City Hall by Tuesday, May 14. Tags are $9.00 each limit 2. Additional tags are $17.00. Please keep items dry, stand mattresses on edge and place on the curb before 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16th, for pickup.
