-City of Mountain Lake- Seasonal/Part-Time Weed Harvester Operator $18/hour We anticipate to hire up to 4 Seasonal Weed Harvester Operators. Anticipated start date is May I, 2022. Under the general direction of the City Administrator and the Street Department, the position will work various hours per week during the spring and summer rotating with other weed harvester employees. Location and density of weeds, weather conditions, and MN Department of Natural Resources contract requirements will determine the amount and location of work done. Invasive aquatic plants are non-native plants that can potentially create recreational nuisances to lakes and reduce native plant diversity. In some instances, when invasive plants become too abundant, they can cause economic or environmental harm. The DNR's goal of invasive plant management is to minimize harmful effects caused by invasive plants while also protecting the natural resources and their use in the State. Operates and maintains weed harvester. Performs other related duties as required.
