About Our Farm

Jubilee Fruits and Vegetables, LLC began in 2010 as a small CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm out of our home and garage. In 2015, a building for all of our doings became a reality: Jubilee Market & Peacemeals.  It is the spot to purchase organic and locally grown produce, tasty eats and a whole lot more. Everyone is welcome.

Our climate battery greenhouse, which is attached to the farm market and kitchen, is in full production all year – a healthy crop of winter salad greens transitions into a transplant staging area along with early tomatoes. Starting transplants for our outdoor crops continues into the summer and fall. Large windows permit diners and shoppers to take in all the action and color of the vertical rain gutter gardens as well as what happens at the soil level.

Two movable high tunnels can be seen from state highway 60. These large structures are moved on their tracks three times a year for the different seasonal plantings. Our Minnesota growing season can be extended with the protection that these tunnels provide from the freezing weather.

Natural methods of production are used while avoiding synthetic pesticides and herbicides. We continue to work towards a resilient agricultural system, which we hope will allow us to manage our farm in a more holistic manner while enjoying abundant yields of a greater diversity of products.

Renewable resources are preferred and we are continually researching how to be better stewards of this spot of earth. We utilize solar power for energy, a wood burning furnace and climate battery for heat and cisterns for irrigating.

There is much more to our story but you will need to see it in person. Come join us for a farm dinner, a cooking class, an evening meeting spot or schedule a tour and activities for the family and the young at heart.
