CAREER SPECIALIST WORTHINGTON OFFICE COTTONWOOD COUNTY OFFICEWINDOM 32 HOURS/WEEK WITH BENEFITS The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council offers individualized employment and training services for customers referred by the county who are on assistance and are looking to become self-sufficient. We are a private, nonprofit organization that works to build tomorrow's workforce through partnerships with a shared focus on training and leadership in the 14 county region of Southwest Minnesota. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Counseling, or related area and/or four years of experience in Human Services Program-preferred. Word processing skills and basic computer knowledge required. Bilingual skills a plus. Responsibilities include: Assess customer employment and training needs, develop needs plan and identify recommended services. Organize and conduct job seeking skills workshops; weekly job clubs; provide assistance with goal-setting and resume preparation. Communication skills should include the ability to operate as a team member, develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, coordinating agencies and employers. Ability to present oneself in a highly professional manner and be an ambassador of the organization. Must have reliable transportation. Position is available immediately based out of our Cottonwood County Office, in Windom, and also provides case management in Jackson, one day a week.
