Director of Nursing Windom Area Health is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing to oversee all nursing related services, including med/surg. OB, ER, outpatient infusions. surgery and diabetic education. This position will ensure compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided to all age groups of patients. Assists in formulating the budget and maintains efficient and effective departmental operations while required compliance with all state, federal, and local regulations laws, standards, and protocols. A member of the Senior Executive Team, the DON is responsible for advising senior management on best practices in nursing and patient care, work with healthcare leaders to establish compensation and benefit programs, and are involved in the recruitment, training and retention of clinical staff. The DON is responsible for the oversight and development of patient-care programs. planning of new patient services, and overall development of all clinical-care leaders directly reporting to the DON. Requires current RN licensure: Bachelors in Nursing Required (Masters preferred); minimum of 3-5 years progressive leadership in an acute-care hospital preferred.
