The decision for Award of Contract will be made by the Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners during a regular meeting on June 15, 2021. The work, in accordance with drawings and technical specifications prepared by John- son Engineering Group, P.O. Box 384, Windom, Minnesota 56101,consists of all labor, materials, tools, permits, bonds, machinery, equipment, and services necessary for the installation of 7,700 L.F. of 6" tile, 3,850 L.F. of 24 tile, and miscellaneous connections to existing structures, tile, and the main north of County Road 28 to the concrete junction box (Base Bid) and 540 L.F. of 30" tile through and south of County Road 28 to the tile outlet including 604 CY of Select Granular Borrow, 100 CY of Class 5 Aggregate Base, and 95 ton of Bituminous Wear Course (Alternate 1). Schedule is to begin work after June 24, 2021. Substantial completion is on or by Decem- ber 10,2021. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in the form of a certified check made payable to "COTTONWOOD COUNTY" (OWNER) in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid, or a surety bond in the same amount, running to the OWNER, with the surety company thereon duly authorized to do business in the State of Minnesota, such Bid ecurity to be a guarantee that the bidder will not,without the consent of the OWNER, withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of bids, and, if awarded a contract, will enter into a contract with COTTON- WOOD COUNTY; and the amount of the certified check will be retained or the bond en- forced by the OWNER incase the bidder fails to do so.
