WANTED: Bids For County Contract Mowers The Cottonwood County Public Works Department is seeking bids for the County Contract mowing, trimming, and maintenance duties for the 2023, 2024 and 2025 mowing seasons. The areas to be mowed are the following locations: Mountain Park; Red Rock Falls Park; Schoper Bush Park; Pat's Grove Park; DVHHS building; North 71 properties; Westbrook Highway shop; Jeffers Highway shop; Mt. Lake Highway shop. Duties include weekly mowing and trimming April 15 through September 30, or less/more frequently based on rainfall and clean- up of sticks and branches. Each awarded contractor must provide their own transportation, mowing equipment, and must maintain equipment insurance as minimally required by State Law. The contract will renew yearly under the same terms unless written notice is given by either party prior to December 31. This is a contracted position and does not include health ben- efits. Unemployment benefits are not included at termination of end of the yearly contract. An awarded contract is not to be sublet without prior approval.
