Windom's CITYWIDE CLEANUP NEW this year! --- ----- Saturday, May 20th THIS CLEANUP IS NOT FOR- Curbside appliance Electronic recycling Items that fit in your weekly trash pickup container Recycle appliance/electronic items during Cottonwood County's recycling events. -CURB- Each household is allowed curbside pickup of- 10 LARGE HOUSEHOLD GOODS OR FURNITURE Place items at the curb by 6:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20. DO NOT place items in alley! Only 10 items will be picked up. If more than 10 items are placed on the curb the property owner will be responsible for proper disposal of the remaining items. Items with glass/mirror ARE NOT ALLOWED. All glass/mirror items can be taken to drop off sites. DO NOT PLACE appliances or electronics on the curb. Recycle these items during Cotton- wood County's recycling events. No items in garbage bags! -DROP OFF- ADDITIONAL SMALL ACCEPTABLE ITEMS- Can be dropped off at dumpster locations Cottonwood Lake (Tegels Park) & Windom Arena 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All items brought to the site must be in an open box and visible for inspection no bags will be allowed. Proof of City of Windom residency will be required to drop off items. Fluorescent UNACCEPTABLE materials for pickup or drop off include - Appliances Building Electronics materials Household garbage Hazardous waste Lead acid batteries Liquid waste Paints Do not put items out on the curb until after May 12th. tubes Used oil Auto bodies Tires Concrete -MATTRESSES- MATTRESS RECYCLING- N Thursday & Friday, May 18th & 19th for mattress or box spring If you have either of these for pickup during the cleanup event, you must purchase a tag from City Hall by Tuesday, May 16. Tags are $10.00 each limit 2. Additional tags are $17.00. Please keep items dry, stand mattresses on side and place on the curb before 8:00 a.m.on Thursday, May 18th, for pickup.
