Full-time Help Wanted -WINDOM STREET DEPARTMENT- STREET/PARK MAINTENANCE- his position will be responsible for performing maintenance on equipment, streets, parks, storm sewers, trees, weeds, airport, alleys and sidewalks including reports & logs. The primary responsibility for this position will include street maintenance (patching, snow plowing, heavy equipment operations) and assistance in maintenance of the park facilities and grounds including ball fields. The 2022 salary range for the position is $18.74-$23.46 per hour, plus benefits, depending on experience. Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Class B or higher Minnesota commercial driver's license. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Candidate should have two or more years work experience operating light or heavy equipment, large front-end loaders, chainsaws, large dump trucks, snowplows & large commercial lawn mowers. Good communication skills and ability to work with the general public. Must be dependable, team-oriented, willing and comfortable working with and assisting other City departments and staff. The position requires a valid Class B or higher commercial driver's license, substantial experience in street maintenance and/or park/grounds maintenance, has graduated from a technical college, or has experience in the operation of street and park maintenance equipment. The position requires on-call status and is subject to callbacks and unscheduled overtime including weekends, evenings and holiday duties. This position is subject to federal regulations for CDL drug and alcohol testing and is subject to pre-employment testing.
