Did you Know CITY OF WINDOM Hotel\Motel Tax Use On January 1, 1997 the City of Windom started collecting a 3% lodging tax on hotel and motels. Recent CVB funded projects include the Hairball Concert and the free kayak rental program at Cottonwood Lake. 95% of the funds collected go to the Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) to promote the community and sponsor events. The CVB is operated through an agreement with the Windom Area Chamber of Commerce.
