RED ROCK CENTRAL NEEDS... .SAFETY and ACCESSIBILITY - Our school does not meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) codes. There is no elevator, and in a building with multiple levels & sets of stairs, this makes much of the building inaccessible to disabled students & visitors. Parents, grandparents, and community members need to be able to visit the building for athletic events, concerts and plays with access to a safe, well-lit parking lot, and easy wheelchair accessibility. .A LOCKDOWN SYSTEM & SECURED MAIN ENTRANCE - Our current building has far too many access points & unsecured areas. No automated lockdown system exists in the event of a school crisis. .TO INVEST IN OUR CHILDREN - The current building, with all additions, has an average age of 76 years and was not built for the way education has evolved in the 21st century. Major infrastructure deficiencies exist throughout the building, Extensive updates would be needed to prevent further deterioration and meet current building codes, and the building would require additional investment in another 20 years. No more bandages - our kids deserve better than this! TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR CURRENT FINANCIAL SITUATION - Interest rates are extremely favorable right now. Our district has No Debt. The cost of construction is continually increasing. The Ag2School Tax Credit was enacted to help rural districts like us with a large amount of agricultural land, by reducing the impact on the farming community and putting a large portion of a building project (59% of our total project) on the State of MN's bill. OUR NEEDS ARE NOT GOING AWAY! VOTE YES FALCONS 4WARD ON OR BEFORE FEBRUARY 9TH! STORDEN AFERS SANBORNLAMBERTOH SAYYES4OURUTUR Ag2School Tax Credit: CHANGING THE LANDSCAPE OF SCHOOL REFERENDUMS Ag25chool is permanent law, passed by the Minnesota legislature with bipartisan support. This credit reduces the tax impact of school building projects for farm families. As a result of this credit, the state of Minnesota will pay for 59% of Red Rock Central's proposed project, with only 41% funded locally. IN 2022, IN 2023, if all 3 questions pass, the annual cost on homesteaded ag land valued at $8,000 an acre will be when Ag2School ramps up to the full 70% credit, that annual cost will decrease to $3.17 $2.38 We encourage you to visit www.ehlers-inc.com/microsite/redrockcentral2021/ to calculate your personal tax impact. Construction costs will only continue to rise if the bond does not pass. Any cuts to the scope of future building proposals would be negated by the increased cost of construction. Now is the time! Past generations invested in our education, now it is our turn to do the same for the future generations in our 4 RRC communities. F4 VOTE YES FALCONS 4WARD ON OR BEFORE FEB. 9TH!
