Jackson County Library System LIBRARY ADMINISTRATOR Jackson County Library System has a full time opening (40 hrs/wk) for a Library Administrator. The Library Administrator manages the Jackson County Library System as agent of the Jackson County Library System Board of Trustees Duties include management of library staff and administration of the annual budget. Specific duties include planning, directing, and coordinating all activi ties of the library at the central library headquarters and two branch libraries. Administrative responsibilities extend to long-term development of the library program, as well as maintenance relating to facilities and collections. The administrator has considerable public contact and thus can impact customer service, community support and cooperation with other agencies Minimum qualifications of education and experience: This job requires a bachelor's degree plus four to five years of administrative library experience, which includes supervisory experience, or equivalent. A master's degree in library science is preferred, but not required. The job requires a driver's license. Starting salary is dependent upon qualifications with a current salary range of $26.98 (minimum) to $35.08 (maximum) per hour.
