When Becky and I moved to Jackson in 1982, we were excited and anxious to become a part of the community and provide eye care to area residents. It has truly been my pleasure to serve the vision care needs for Jackson and surrounding communities for the last 42 years! I have greatly appreciated the trust my loyal patients have placed in my staff and me. It has been very rewarding to serve others and develop friendships with so many patients. So with both anticipation for the future and sadness, I am announcing my retirement. My last day to see patients will be May 31. The office will be open until June 28 to pick up glasses and contacts, to pay bills, and to pick up prescriptions or records. I truly believe that Jackson needs an optometrist. I have explored many different options over the last three and a half years, hoping to find someone to continue serving my patients' eye care needs. But as in all health care fields, it is difficult to attract people to move to rural areas. Therefore, I had to make the difficult decision to close, as I begin my retirement. I deeply regret that my efforts were unsuccessful. Thank you to my dedicated office staff over the years and to all of my loyal patients.
