Security a focus for MVTV New camera system offers improved options for farmers and customers For farmers in southwest Min- nesota looking for reliable, custom- izable security and connectivity options, MVTV Wireless is offer- ing a new set of tools designed with agriculture in mind. MVTV's recently-launched camera systems and their managed farm network service are helping rural residents monitor their property with confi- dence and ease-from cattle yards to grain dryers and everything in between. MVTV customer service special- ist Lydia Weber knows firsthand how impactful these tools can be. She and her husband run a small cow-calf operation called Weber Angus, near Granite Falls and were among the first to install the new camera systems. "I was very, very proud to be able to do that," said Weber. "We always wanted something to monitor our cattle, especially during calv- ing season. When MVTV started looking into offering cameras, we hopped on that right away." Unlike professionally monitored systems, MVTV's camera setup is designed for self-monitoring. There are no monthly subscrip- tions or third-party alerts. Once installed, customers can view live video through their smartphone or computer, offering peace of mind wherever they are. "This is strictly for peace of mind and security," Weber explained. "You purchase the cameras and monitor them yourself no ongo- ing fees like the Ring doorbells or other brands require." The process starts with a personal- ized site visit. MVTV's technicians meet with customers on-site, discuss their needs, and help map out the best setup. From there, a custom quote is generated based on the lay- out and specific equipment required. MVTV offers around six types of cameras, each with features tailored for different uses, from fixed-position models to rotating cameras capable of panning 180 degrees. "All of our cameras can be used indoors or outdoors," Weber said. "We even have models that rotate so we can view the entire cattle yard. It's really about what the customer needs." The use cases go far beyond livestock. Some customers have installed cameras near gas tanks to deter theft, on grain bins and dryers for harvest-time monitor- ing, and on outbuildings scattered across larger properties. The goal is to let farmers keep an eye on their most valuable resources from any- where. Installation is also handled entirely by MVTV's technicians. "We had a couple techs come to our place," Weber shared. "My husband was specific about where he wanted things, and the techs listened, helped us determine what we needed, and got it all set up. It's been a game changer for us." " In addition to cameras, MVTV's Managed Farm Network helps extend internet access to remote buildings, even if those buildings are hundreds of feet from the main house. The service uses a wireless hop-radio system to relay the inter- net signal to barns, bins, or shops wherever connectivity is needed. "It's a completely customized design solution," Weber said. "It includes all equipment, setup, replacement if something goes wrong, at a monthly service fee. We offer annual maintenance and year-round support to make sure it keeps working. Importantly, customers don't need to be existing MVTV wireless subscribers to use the Managed Farm Network. That flexibility makes it especially attractive to farmers who need a reliable in- ternet connection in buildings far from their main modem. To learn more or request a quote, customers can call MVTV at 320- 564-4807. After a quick intake, MVTV will schedule a visit and ensure each customer's setup fits their needs exactly. "We want customers to be just as happy with the product as we are," Weber added. "No surprises, no concerns just a system that works the way they need it to."
